Position Summary:

The mission of the Associate Director of VoxYouth is to see middle and high school

students grow in their faith as they discover their true identity and purpose in Christ and a sense of belonging to His people. With this mission as the backdrop, the AD for VoxYouth helps to provide central and regional support for our campus youth expressions through resourcing church locations with: local programming, centrally/regionally offered calendar of annual events available to all locations, equipping of local youth leaders and a menu of content or opportunities to be utilized locally as the youth ministry expression emerges and grows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Include, but are not limited to the following:)

Central

Partner with the Central Students Pastor to pilot initiatives through centrally or regionally directed programming in discipleship (youth classes) and in outreach and missions. (local youth missions week; global missions short term teams)
Participate in – and help provide leadership for - ongoing Local Youth Director meetings for spiritual, leadership, personal, and professional development.
Assist in recruiting and equipping volunteer teams to participate in Central VoxYouth events (i.e. Fall & Winter retreats, Worship Nights, Christmas events, Summer mission trip etc.)
Help to execute Youth Leader Recruitment Trainings. Also includes onboarding of new youth leaders.
Work alongside the Students Pastor to create content for VoxYouth teaching series.
Maintain student database and provide oversight and development of youth website and social media; keeping current with all events and details for all Youth House locations.
Maintain current database for volunteer connections, contact information,background checks, and event volunteer rosters.
Parent Seminars – assist the Students Pastor in the development and execution ofstrategic “parenting of teens” seminars offered periodically throughout the year.
Work with Students Pastor to develop effective content and vehicles for parent support of teens. (communications and resourcing)
Offer periodic discipleship classes on Sunday morning at permanent locations as determined by Central Students Pastor.

Regional / Local

Oversee all Vox Youth program execution at one campus in region strategically identified by Students Pastor. Primary responsibilities include:
- Primary teacher/minister/communicator at YouthHouse gatherings.
- Recruitment and development of team of leaders
- Serve on church location’s Directional Team including weekly meetings.
Student discipleship: Oversee the strategic discipleship of students at designated location, meeting with a minimum of 3-5 students each week for personal discipleship. The AD of VoxYouth will also oversee the strategic development of student leaders at designated location.
Maintain monthly oversight of regional expenses relative to local budgets; relatedly communicating with Campus Pastors and Local Directors.
Help to provide resourcing and support to regional/local directors to ensure successful leadership of Youth House gatherings.

Education/Background:

Minimum of 3 years of working/volunteering with students in some capacity
College degree preferred in Bible/Theology, Christian Ministry or related field capable of enhancing ministry to Youth.
